Why the Shipyard Chose a Container Office Building in Vietnam

Before the design work started, the customer shared several clear project requirements：

• The office building needed to be delivered quickly and put into use as soon as possible.
• Since the shipyard had limited available land, a two-storey structure was preferred.
• The customer also wanted a stronger building system that could perform well in Vietnam’s humid climate and support long-term office use.

For a shipyard, an office building should be close to the working area, easy to install, and reliable for daily use. Compared with traditional construction, a modular container office building can shorten the construction process and reduce heavy on-site work. Based on these requirements, K-HOME recommended a premium flat pack container office building for this project.

A Practical Container Office Building for Shipyard Use

Container office buildings are suitable for industrial working environments because they use a modular structure and flexible layouts. They can be used as site offices, management offices, meeting rooms, staff offices, or temporary project offices.

For this Vietnam shipyard project, the container office building was planned as a daily office space. This solution is also suitable for ports, factories, construction sites, industrial parks, and other projects that need a fast-built office building close to the work area.

Premium Flat Pack Container Office with Factory Prefabrication

For this project, we used a high-end flat pack container office system. The roof and floor modules were prefabricated in the factory before delivery, which helped reduce on-site installation work and improve construction efficiency.

The main steel frame uses a 2.3mm structure, making it more suitable for long-term office use. For Vietnam’s humid environment, a stronger frame and factory-controlled production help improve structural stability and service life. This also allows the customer to balance quality, installation speed, and overall project cost.

Two-Storey Container Office Design for Better Space Use

The customer chose a two-storey container office building because the shipyard needed to save ground space. A vertical layout provides more usable office area without occupying too much land.

This is especially useful for shipyards and industrial sites, where ground space is often reserved for production, equipment movement, material storage, and vehicle access. With a two-storey layout, the project could meet the customer’s office needs while keeping the working area more open and efficient.
